A Seven-Stage Formation Journey
Living Convinced
Emerging From the Tension Between Two Voices
Begin the Journey"There is a war being fought over your identity, and most people never realize they are standing in the middle of it."
— Walter Virgil Jr., Living Convinced
The Burden
This Is Not a Book About Information. It Is a Book About Formation.
Two voices compete for every life. The Authorized Voice calls you into purpose, alignment, and truth. The Unauthorized Voice seeks to confuse, distort, and redirect you away from who God has declared you to be.
Living Convinced is a seven-stage journey of spiritual formation designed to move participants from awareness to authority — from being shaped by voices to becoming an authorized voice themselves.
Each stage exposes a different voice, confronts a different assumption, and moves a believer closer to the moment when identity becomes anchored in conviction.
The Formation Map
Seven Stages. One Journey. From Identity Confusion to Spiritual Conviction.
Each stage builds upon the last, forming a continuous path of transformation. This is not a curriculum to be administered — it is a formation journey to be stewarded.
There's a Box for That Label
Examining the labels that attempt to define identity before God ever speaks. A label does not have to be accurate to be effective. It only has to be internalized.
Who Has Defined You?
If labels are the containers of identity, voices are the architects. This stage introduces the providential faculty and the silence that occurs when a father's voice is absent.
What Man Has Spoken Into You?
You are the result of words spoken, voices honored, and definitions repeated — some chosen, and many chosen for you before you had the language to resist them.
Who Do You Say That I Am?
The pivotal stage where revelation of Christ reframes identity. Seeing Jesus clearly produces clarity about who you are. Formation cannot be sustained by analysis alone.
Who Has Been Sent to Redefine You?
Revelation may reveal who you are, but redefinition requires relationship. God rarely completes identity formation in isolation — He assigns people to steward the next phase of your becoming.
The Warfare of Redirection
When God redefines you, He does not immediately remove pressure. He allows pressure to prove alignment. This is targeted resistance against who God has declared you to be.
Who Are You Responsible For?
God never forms a life for private consumption. Formation was never meant to terminate with you. The goal of spiritual formation is not personal growth — it is responsibility.
"You are not perfect. But you are convinced. And that is enough for God to work through."
— Walter Virgil Jr.
The Formation Ecosystem
Four Components. One Integrated Experience.
Living Convinced is not a single product. It is an integrated ecosystem designed to work together as a complete discipleship experience.
The Participant Book
Each stage includes concise teaching, Reflect & Respond questions, and personal journaling pages. The book becomes a permanent record of each participant's formation journey.
Teaching Video Series
15–20 minute teaching videos for each stage that open the heart so the book can do the deep work. These are not lectures — they are conversations between a pastor and a man who needs to hear the truth.
The Facilitator Guide
Equips pastors and leaders with self-examination, stage-by-stage theological briefings, discussion anchors, and pastoral sensitivity guidance to steward the journey with confidence.
Community Discussion Groups
The journey is designed to be experienced in community. Participants gather weekly following a simple rhythm: Gather, Watch, Read, Reflect, Discuss, Commission. Seven weeks. 75–90 minutes per session.
